The order of categories and products is sorted by post ID, i.e. you will have to add the product categories and products one by one in the order you want, then in the product sort section in the product widget, you will choose to sort by post ID or menu ID
I checked this issue and it still points right to your link, you have to clear the cache before testing

We only support sorting in the following styles: https://prnt.sc/1y6csd0, to display the self-sorting product list you will have to customize the code, choose each product in order.
