Theme compatibility with Yoast SEO

Hi,

I wanted to change the meta description of the website using Yoast SEO. The new meta description is shown in the code header tags, but it does not reflect on the searching result (it still displayed the old one). I am wondering if that could be a problem with the compatibility with the theme and the plugin. Or is there any better way to change the meta description. Thanks in advance!

After updating the meta and description, you need to update the sitemap file and resubmit it to google for it to re-index the data
